Each bottle features a beautifully rustic, mottled ginger-brown glaze with a distinctive "orange peel" texture, the hallmark of traditional salt-glazing, achieved by casting raw salt directly into white-hot kilns. The proximity of Langley Mill to local coalfields provided both fuel and the natural reddish-brown clay ideal for durable stoneware.

At approximately 4.5" tall, these are individual desk-sized ink bottles that sat on a writing desk or ship's ledger. Today they make a perfect coastal bud vase, a striking paperweight, or a handsome addition to a mantle, bookshelf, or windowsill. Their rustic, salt-glazed character pairs beautifully with coastal, industrial, and collected-over-time interiors alike.
